Happy New Year! Check out this screen grab from an edit I’m doing for the sequel of ‘Sunday of Justice’. The weather’s grim, minimal production taking place in FFTB currently, but you know what that means? Edit Season. To my count there is 3 pretty big projects being edited by various FFTB members at present.
As well as a short experimental film/music video/video art piece being shot soon, there are also bigger films on the horizon. Much much bigger. Like scary big. : )

Let’s see… One month after the madness that was VGM-A-Thon, Myself and Ross are trekking up the mountain that is this edit. So far, the playhead is sitting at well over 30 minutes in length with plenty more to go on the timeline. The ending is pretty much sussed and we’re now working backwards from that to join this whole film together! Roll on release!

Winning entry to the 2012 CND competition “A Chance of a Lifetime” by Chris Light.

WORLD ANNIHILATION v3.0 is a short experimental film that attempts to address the issues of the nuclear arms race from the context of a computer game.

"I think that this film definitely split the judges!!! "Was confusing for me" said one, but went onto say "but maybe would not be for the intended audience" and in the end we think that is the point - this is a film designed, made, and for a younger audience. It taps into the video gaming zeitgeist - howevever one judge did LOVE the retro 80’s ‘asteroids’ feel to the grapohics! This film has a very effective use of sound and graphic imagery - what is intresting is that is stands muliple viewing - and yet still works if you only watch it once. It lays out its stall and sticks to it, you did not compromise on style or design - so the film is VERY strng in all respects. It also has simple and very clear ending message. The final caption - "The only winning move is not to play" was effective. VERY good work."

The script read for the upcoming short drama “Ashes” gets under way.

This film is a very interesting one for me. From a storyline viewpoint I hope the film will create a talking point. From a technical viewpoint, its going to be nice to shoot a film in controlled conditions.

Getting feedback from various sources (including JonoD from the VGM Awesome team and fellow FFTB contributor), regarding the latest version of the script for 28 Sundays Later. The long awaited sequel to Sunday of Justice (2011). This project is scheduled to be shot in early December - very exciting!
